Black Ops II and Diva on the radio!!

What an amazing couple of days!

Today I had the opportunity to go on the radio with Loper and Randi in the Morning on 99.7 The Blitz here in Columbus, Oh. By far one of the coolest experiences. Getting to review Black Ops II on air and share my passion for video games. From now on stay tuned to Loper and Randi in the morning on 99.7 The Blitz for my video game reviews! Here is the link to the podcast!  TVGD on 99.7 The Blitz

And a great night last night at Play N Trade Dublin for the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The beautiful Kaecee was in the house getting her body painted up Black Ops II Style by amazing artist Giovanni, (pictures to come soon from that).

Afterward I went home fueled on red bull and cool ranch doritos and kicked some Black Ops 2 ASS. Zombie is by far my favorite part of the game. But I will post a separate review for that later.

Don't forget to check out my new facebook page: The Video Game Diva

And stay tuned for my new YouTube channel and video reviews!

Here is a sneak peek at one of the pictures I took of Kaecee all painted up last night! Check out my photography on facebook here: Cassandra Logan Photography

Back in the Saddle Again...

Another couple months down the line and I am still working on making progress on this blog. However, I do come bearing some exciting things!  I recently have been doing a lot of Voice Over work which has been a dream of mine. My ultimate dream would be getting my voice in a video game, which hopefully might not be far off ;). Here is a link to some of my old voice overs if you would like to hear:) Voice Over Demo. There is also some other VERY exciting news that I can't really talk about yet. Lets just say it involves a tv show!

As of right now I am trying to play video games more. I got Batman Arkham City and Call Of Duty:Modern Warfare 3. I have to say Batman Arkham City rivals Batman Arkham Asylum. I love the fact that you get to play as Catwoman, the storyline is fun and of course the graphics are spectacular. As far as MW3 I mainly only play online with friends so it more of a social game for me. I have thought about trying out the story but for now I am having a blast playing online with friends. In the past I haven't been the best at FPS games but I am actually starting to get better.

Since I have been getting back into video games I have started to think about competitive gaming. I used to play a lot of DOA4 and Mortal Kombat fighter games. I actually got pretty good once I got to know the controls and everything. I don't know that I will ever get to the competitive level that I have seen out there but you never know if you don't try right?

Another update is I have decided to possibly invest into gamefly, at least until I can find a better way to purchase video games. I am still struggling money wise so purchasing video games isn't really much of an option.

So I can't believe I forgot to post these but I had some gamer pictures taken...about a year ago! Here are some of my nerdtastic shots from my first ever photo shoot! I hope you enjoy!

So keep a lookout for more exciting news hopefully in the near future!

Introducing The Video Game Diva

My name is Cassandra but from now on I will go by The Video Game Diva, or TVGD for short. I am a video game enthusiast who is starting a blog to speak my mind and discuss video games with other video game lovers. My plan is to reach out to other gamers, male and female, and share our love of video games.
I decided to start this blog because I find that most of my time is spent consumed by video games. So now I am here to share my love of video games with the world.
At a very young age I became instantly absorbed into video games. I started gaming at the age of 5 years old. My first gaming system was the Nintendo Entertainment System(NES). I have two older brothers, so naturally my competitive edge was brought to the surface.

My favorite games were (and still are) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game, Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda and Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers. My brothers, of course, liked to beat the crap out of me at Tecmo Bowl. At the time I wasn't as into football, however, I have grown to love it and now I beat the crap out of them.

After Nintendo I fell in love with even more systems including Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo and Game Gear. My interest in video games began to diminish as sports and school activities began. I still played video games but not as often as before. Then before I knew it video games almost disappeared out of my life entirely.
November 22, 2005, the day that brought video games back into my life. The launch of the Xbox 360. My roommate brought back the new console after waiting hours in line. He told me he bought the game, Kameo: Elements of Power, for me to play. I was instantly hooked just like it was 1990 again with Nintendo. It helped that we had a big screen and surround sound. But never had I seen a video game look so good. We played all the new games that came out with the launch. Call of Duty 2, PGR3, Perfect Dark Zero and Dead or Alive 4. Soon enough we beat the games or had our fill and decided to rent from GameFly. We got our hands on as many games as we could.
Beyond the amazing graphics and awesome layout of the Xbox 360 I found myself in love with the feature of achievement points. I was actually finishing games to get points. It also made it more fun and a competition for me and friends. It also was fun to gain bragging rights as a female gamer with a higher gamer score than most of my male friends. Overall, it was great just to have video games back in my life.
Sadly I moved out of my roommates and no longer had an Xbox 360. Luckily for me soon after was the launch of the Wii. This was my first launch that I actually waited in line for and got my own system. I got to "enjoy" the hours of waiting in line with all the others. It was all well worth it as I got my Wii and Zelda: Twilight Princess. I found myself mostly enjoying Wii Sports, the game that came with the system. My friends and I would play Wii Bowling for hours upon hours.
I think my new roommate thought that I was an alien from a different planet because of my passion for video games. In fact, I think most people in my life believed me to be of a different breed because of my love for video games...though this has never deterred me from continuing to play.
Last year for Black Friday I finally bought my own Xbox 360 and flat screen 1080p TV. I also just recently received a Playstation 3 for my birthday. Gaming has officially taken over my life, or at least to a certain extent.
I hope to gain a following of gaming fans who can connect with myself and others and share their passion for video games. I look forward to sharing my opinion and taking others' comments and constructive criticisms. I know there will be good and bad but I am excited to join the blogging community and can't wait to begin receiving your feedback!

Thank you for being a part of my first blog!
